Support of a Program or Child

Participation In Events
The Detroit Institute for Children is pleased to be one of the 11 charities that benefit from the North American International Auto Show Charity Preview, held by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association each January.  This event features a sneak-peek at the world’s greatest auto show and the newest and hottest cars before the show opens to the public.  This is a very exclusive event featuring fine champagne, food, and local and national celebrities.  Tickets are $400 each and go on sale in October.  To be placed on a invitation or waiting list, please call 888-838-7500 or visit www.charitypreview.org.

We also hold one fundraising event per year, our Henry Ford II Memorial Golf Classic.  Created by Edsel B. Ford II in loving memory of his father, this golf outing raises over $300,000 each and every year to help our kids. We are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Golf Classic this year, and we are pleased to announce that the 2010 event will be held at the prestigious Oakland Hills Country Club!  Please reserve your spot today, as the opportunity to golf on the South Course is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  For more information on the 2010 Henry Ford II Memorial Golf Outing, please e-mail faye.chapman@detroitchildren.org or call her at 313-578-4515.
